The certificates for STARTERS, MOVERS and FLYERS have arrived! CONGRATULATIONS!

The University of Cambridge certificates we have been waiting for have finally arrived and we are proud to announce that ALL of our students have passed! As always, hard work pays off and now our youngest students can call themselves proud owners of an international certificate which serves as a proof of their knowledge of English and is now recognized worldwide.
However, the certificate itself is not what matters the most. It is important to mention that preparation for these exams serves as a preparation for real life situations and the children learn to independently communicate in English. Many adults who have learned English all their lives boast this skill and our students are free from the language barrier from the earliest age. Moreover, they have an opportunity to independently converse with native speakers of English.
We have been preparing children and adults alike for the Cambridge exams for 15 years now. During the preparation, our goal is to prepare them in the best way possible for all of these situations and above all, give them psychological support and boost their confidence. That is why our students often say the exams are too easy.
Here’s what they had to say after the exams:
“Starters was really easy!”
“Flyers is the third exam I took, and my favourite part is visiting the zoo and McDonalds while we are in Belgrade.”
“The exam was easier than the preparations”
What exactly are Cambridge exams?
Cambridge English language exams (Cambridge ESOL exams), by the University of Cambridge are the best known and most widely recognized exams for English learners worldwide. Cambridge English exams involve various kinds of certificates and diplomas, and are conceived in such a way as to meet the demands of learners at all levels.
Cambridge English exams are recognized by numerous companies, academic institutions, universities and colleges, as well as ministries and state institutions worldwide. The exams will help you acquire higher education, increase the chances of being employed and enable you to consider a range of business opportunities.
What is the starting age for taking a Cambridge exam?
All children levels are categorized as the Young Learners of English (YLE) tests, and there are three of them: STARTERS, MOVERS and FLYERS. According to the official website of the British Council, YLE exams were made for children 7-13 years old, but what needs to be considered is that this is the international standard worldwide.
Having in mind that all testing, even at the lowest level – STARTERS – assesses reading, writing, listening and speaking, we recommend not taking the STARTERS exam before the second or the third grade. The reason for this is because the children are required to write in English at the exam, that is, in the Latin alphabet. Therefore, familiarity with the Latin alphabet is the first requirement for taking the exam. Moreover, the children need to be psychologically prepared to follow multiple activities at the same time, for example listening and writing what they hear simultaneously.
The Foreign Languages Centre Patuljak has been successfully preparing its students for taking Cambridge exams at all levels for 17 years. Hundreds of children and adults have received these prestigious certificates with our help. In 2013 over 100 of our students took this internationally recognized exam and successfully passed it. The success we had brought us the Gold Medal for Excellence from the British Council.
