Our students talk about… Swedish
Marija Vukic attended a course of Swedish in our centre and she successfully passed the final exam. The reason to start learning the language for her was moving to Sweden. Here’s what Marija has to say about Swedish and her experience of Sweden:
“Although I was an absolute beginner, thanks to the Foreign Languages Centre Patuljak, I learnt the basics of writing and speaking in Swedish very quickly. The course helped me get by in everyday situations and places like shops, public transport, restaurants, in the street, to ask for information and answer questions.
When it comes to Sweden, I can only say that it’s a beautiful country. A country of peace and prosperity. Children are provided with best care and nurseries are big enough to accommodate all children, there are child benefits for every child in the family, and education and textbooks are free. Sweden is a country of beauty and pure nature, the nature that everyone has the right to enjoy, even when it’s private property… The one thing that is forbidden is interference and destruction… I am thrilled and I plan to continue my life there. The knowledge of the language has served me well so far. I feel confident because I can understand the people and talk to them.”
